In Infinitum AW13, Tettmann.Doust delve into the universal language of mathematics. From the stuff of clouds, crystals and lightening, to the digital realm of modelling and revolutionised computer graphics, fractals allow people to analyse and mimic nature’s elaborate process of creation. Guided through the intricate world of digital ‘negMandels’ by fractals expert Dan Wills, TD has adopted underlying systems of recursive geometry to inform their new range. The results are wearable glimpses of an unfolding universe. TD’s signature luxury fabrics – soft leather, silk and fine wool – paired with crystalline prints and textural beadwork take on new dimensions as soft layers are juxtaposed with geometric structures, panelling and striking moments of asymmetry.
